One-year of Grounds experience, required; flower and shrub care experience preferred as well as basic plumbing. Must be at least 18 years oldComputer skillsMust have experience and knowledge operating general construction power and hand tools.Must have the ability to read and write basic EnglishMust have the ability to follow simple oral and written instructionsSome supervisory experience, desiredFamiliarity with common grounds methodsMowing, Line trimming, Edging, Irrigation, pruning, planting.Must be able to lift 50 pounds easily, lift and move heavy equipment and furnishings, be able to climb ladders and work from heights of 20 ft. or more, and be able to spend hours at a time weeding planter beds.Willing to establish and maintain working relations with supervisors, coworkers, and studentsMechanical abilitiesmaintaining/cleaning equipment, repairs, troubleshooting problems, proper use of toolsMust pass a criminal background checkMust be able to keep accurate recordsFamiliarity with common Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical practices.Must be self-motivatedMust be able to work in harsh conditions such as hot and cold weather, loud areas, and confined spaces.Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays if needed

This position will work with grounds May-October M-F 6AM-2:30PM, and will work the heat plant October-May M-F 6AM-2:30AM.Applications received by 11:59 PM on March 7, 2025, will be eligible for review by the hiring committee.
