Location Description:
Located at the base of Snow King Mountain, just a few blocks from downtown and 20 minutes from the Jackson Hole Airport, Snow King Resort Hotel boasts breathtaking views of the Teton Mountain Range and offers its guests a wide variety of activities and amenities. As Jackson’s largest venue, Snow King Resort Hotel offers over 20,000 square feet of combined indoor and outdoor function space. Featuring 203 guest rooms and vacation luxury condo rentals.
Overview:
The Banquet Manager is responsible for providing consistent, quality service through professional food and beverage service management in the Banquet and Catering Department. The Banquet Manager is primarily responsible for overseeing the operations and staff of banquets and client events, and maintaining the highest level of standards and efficiency of the event as a whole. This position supports all food and beverage outlets and will assist from time-to-time in Haydens Post Restaurant.
Qualifications:
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the budgetary objectives for banquets and communicating those objectives to the Director of Catering/Conference Services and the Director of Food and Beverage.
  • Interview for open positions, motivate and retain team members.
  • Ensure accurate client billing systems to maximize highest possible revenue for the Hotel.
  • Handling of evaluation process and the discipline of employees.
  • Control expenditures within budgetary guidelines.
  • Oversee and review all staffing programs within area of responsibility, to insure maximum guest satisfaction and stay with budgeted guidelines.
  • Supervise Uniform Control.
  • Responsible for the initial on-boarding and continuous training of all banquet staff.
  • Attend all meetings as required, including pre-cons, department head, etc.
  • Maintain open communication within the department and with other operation departments.
  • Ensure that all front and back of the house areas are maintained in a neat, clean and orderly fashion.
  • Responsible for setting rooms as needed for functions per the Banquet Event Orders. To include moving tables, chairs, chaffers, stages, and other integral pieces of equipment.
  • Monitor and critique food quality and service levels
  • Weekly scheduling of banquet staff to support set up and servicing of events.
  • Quarterly inventory/par level counts; to include all banquet areas.

Requirements include:
  • Proficient with computers.
  • 2 years experience as banquet supervisor
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Pleasant and helpful personality
  • Excellent communication and training skills
  • Positive problem solving abilities
