Business Strategy Analyst

Description

The Business Strategy Analyst is responsible for driving strategic initiatives by conducting comprehensive research, analyzing data, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making at all levels of the organization. This role focuses on aligning business strategies and technology with organizational goals, monitoring the effectiveness of strategic plans and technology investments, and maintaining tools and frameworks for continuous improvement. The Business Strategy Analyst collaborates with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure strategic initiatives are well-informed, data-driven, and aligned with the competitive landscape and industry trends.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Market and Competitive Analysis:

• Analyze market trends, industry developments, and the competitive landscape to identify opportunities and risks.
• Conduct benchmarking studies to assess the company's position relative to competitors. Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and innovations to ensure strategic plans remain relevant and forward-looking.

Data Collection and Research:

• Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary data for strategic planning and analysis.
• Conduct in-depth research to support strategic decision-making, including financial modeling, feasibility studies, and risk assessments.

Strategic Planning and Alignment:

• Collaborate with senior management to define, align, and implement strategic initiatives that support the company’s goals.
• Develop and maintain strategic planning tools and frameworks to guide the organization’s long-term objectives.
• Ensure alignment of strategic initiatives with key performance metrics and organizational goals.

Insights and Decision Support:

• Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings, recommendations, and actionable insights for stakeholders.
• Communicate complex data and analyses clearly and compellingly to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
• Support the development of business cases, financial models, and scenarios to inform investment and operational decisions.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting:

• Monitor the implementation and performance of strategic plans, identifying areas for improvement and course correction.
• Support the development of performance metrics and KPIs to track the effectiveness of strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure accountability and progress toward defined goals.

Project and Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining high-quality outputs.
• Assist in preparing company presentations and other executive-level communication materials.
• Foster collaboration across departments to ensure the smooth execution of initiatives and a cohesive approach to achieving company goals.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS: DEGREE

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, engineering, business strategy and analytics preferred.

• Master’s degree in business administration or related discipline preferred.

REQUIREMENTS: EXPERIENCE 

• 2 years of strategy and or business analytics experience 
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
• High proficiency in data analysis and presentation tools, including Excel, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
• Experience with financial modeling and business case development, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with project management tools and methodologies.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 annually based on experience. This position is also eligible for an annual performance bonus.
