POSITION OBJECTIVES
The financial analyst will play a critical role in analyzing financial data, developing forecasts, and providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making. This role involves close collaboration with various departments to optimize financial performance and ensure alignment with organizational goals. The analyst will have a diverse cross-departmental workload supporting multiple company initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Analysis:
- Analyze financial data and performance metrics to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for senior management.
Forecasting and Budgeting:
- Develop and maintain financial models, support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
- Assist in the preparation and monitoring of the annual budget process.
Reporting:
- Create monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial results and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Strategic Support:
- Provide insights and recommendations based on financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cost-saving initiatives and improve operational efficiency.
Risk Management:
- Assess financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Monitor compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
Ad-hoc Projects:
- Conduct special projects and financial analyses as requested.
- Support other major finance activities as requested.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS: DEGREE
- Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- CPA, CMA, and CFA certifications preferred.
REQUIREMENTS: EXPERIENCE
- 5-8 years of experience in financial analysis, investment banking, or related roles.
- Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (Excel, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
REQUIREMENTS: PHYSICAL
- Ability to remain in a stationary seated or standing position for various increments of time
- Able to move about to access a variety of tools and office equipment
- Able to consistently operate a computer or other electronic device
- Able to ascend or descend a ladder, crouch or crawl
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, lift over head, twist and turn body when appropriate
