What are the responsibilities and job description for the SY25-26 Principal's Secretary position at SOAR ACADEMY?
JOB SUMMARY:
Performs secretarial, bookkeeping and clerical functions such as data entry, typing, filing, record keeping, composing letters, maintaining budgets, and compiling information and reports in a public school. Operates a variety of office equipment including: personal computer, fax machine, typewriter, copy machine, calculator, telephone, etc.
REPORTS TO:
Principal
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Completion of a recognized secretarial training program or related coursework is desired.
2. Minimum of two (2) years of experience in secretarial work is required. School-based experience is preferred. Typing skills required.
NOTE: Skills assessment examinations will be administered.
3. Must have experience working with personal computers and various types of computer software (word processing, and/or spreadsheet programs such as MicroSoft Word, Excel, etc.).
4. Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet deadlines is required.
5. Must be a current employee of the Bibb County School System.
SALARY/TERMS/BENEFITS:
1. 225 day work year; (8) hours per day.
2. Salary Range - (Grade 45) (placement on salary schedule based on years of related experience). The stated salary range reflects the opportunity for pay over the course of the employee's tenure. The maximum amount is not a potential starting salary.
