Soccer Shots is a leading children's soccer program, dedicated to teaching soccer skills while emphasizing character development, soccer skills, and fun. We are looking for an energetic and organized Assistant Director to join our team. This role combines administrative tasks with coaching duties and requires someone with strong leadership skills in training, hiring, and coaching.
Position Overview :
The Assistant Director is responsible for supporting program operations and delivering high-quality coaching to children. This part-time role (up to 25 hours per week) will require at least 15 hours of coaching weekly, with the possibility to increase hours based on program demand. The position also includes up to 10 hours of administrative work per week. Coaching is the primary focus, but strong administrative and leadership abilities are crucial.
Key Responsibilities :
- Coaching (15 hours per week) :
- Provide guidance and mentorship to coaches, ensuring high standards of instruction.
- Develop and implement age-appropriate drills and activities.
- Adjust coaching strategies to meet the needs of each child and group.
- Administrative (Up to 10 hours per week) :
- Respond to customer inquiries and manage communication.
- Track attendance and session feedback.
- Organize and support events, including seasonal tournaments and other activities.
- Training & Hiring :
- Provide training and development for new and existing staff.
- Foster a team-oriented environment with a focus on quality and consistency in coaching.
- Program Management :
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and program quality.
- Proven experience in coaching children, particularly in soccer.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Experience in training, hiring, and managing staff.
- Passion for developing childrens athletic and social skills in a positive environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.
- Starting pay : $20 per hour.
- Opportunity for a salary review after 6 months and again at the year mark.
- 15 hours per week dedicated to coaching (can vary depending on demand of program)
- Up to 10 hours per week for administrative work.
- Total weekly hours will not exceed 29 (including coaching and admin).
Lead and assist in coaching sessions for children aged 2-8, focusing on fun and educational soccer experiences.
Handle scheduling and bookings.
Assist in recruiting and hiring new coaches.
Monitor the programs progress, ensuring it meets educational goals and company standards.
