Marketing Coordinator
Location: Blue Ash, OH
Position Type: (not remote) Full-time, in-office

Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative Marketing Coordinator to enhance brand awareness, drive product demand, and boost sales for Soccer Village across our three main areas: team, retail, and online sales. This role provides a unique opportunity to collaborate with various departments, including purchasing, sales, digital marketing, and retail teams, to create and implement effective marketing strategies across multiple channels.

Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital, retail, social media, and events.
  • Coordinate product launches, promotions, and seasonal campaigns to maximize brand exposure and sales.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to produce compelling marketing materials, including product descriptions, videos, and advertisements.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide data-driven recommendations for improvements.
Product Marketing & Brand Development
  • Collaborate with purchasing teams to understand product features, benefits, and unique selling points.
  • Develop product positioning strategies and messaging that resonate with soccer players, coaches, and teams.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and communication channels.
  • Conduct competitor research to maintain a competitive edge in product offerings and marketing strategies.
Retail & E-Commerce Support
  • Work closely with e-commerce and sales teams to optimize product listings, descriptions, and promotions on online platforms.
  • Support in-store marketing efforts, including point-of-sale displays, signage, and product demonstrations.
  • Collaborate with retail partners to enhance product visibility and promotional effectiveness.
Digital & Social Media Marketing
  • Assist in creating and managing social media campaigns, influencer partnerships, and digital ads related to soccer equipment.
  • Work with the digital team to produce engaging content, including blog posts, videos, and social media ads.
  • Monitor online engagement and feedback to refine and improve future marketing efforts.
Product Merchandising & Placement Optimization
  • Manage and optimize product placement on the website, ensuring visibility and easy navigation.
  • Align product positioning with promotional campaigns, seasonal trends, and business objectives.
  • Ensure proper categorization, tagging, and filtering to enhance searchability and user experience.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to feature products in email campaigns, social media, and digital ads.
  • Partner with the content team to ensure compelling product descriptions, images, and videos that align with brand messaging.
  • Collaborate with inventory and supply chain teams to ensure accurate product representation and availability.
User Experience & Site Navigation
  • Review and update product collections, bundles, and recommendations to enhance the customer journey.
  • Address gaps or inconsistencies in product placement to improve navigation and discoverability.
  • Assist in UX/UI improvements by providing feedback on layout and filtering options.
E-Commerce & SEO Enhancement
  • Work with the digital marketing team to implement SEO best practices for product pages.
  • Optimize product descriptions, images, and metadata to enhance discoverability and engagement.
  • Ensure best-selling and high-margin products receive optimal placement on category and landing pages.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
  • Track and analyze product performance metrics, including views, clicks, conversions, and revenue impact.
  • Use data-driven insights to adjust product placement strategies for maximum effectiveness.
  • Conduct A/B testing to determine the most effective merchandising strategies.
Sponsorships, Events, & Community Engagement
  • Coordinate sponsorship activations with soccer clubs, leagues, and tournaments.
  • Organize product demos, grassroots marketing events, and soccer clinics.
  • Build relationships with brand ambassadors, athletes, and influencers to generate authentic product endorsements.
Market Research & Performance Analysis
  • Conduct market research to identify customer preferences, emerging trends, and competitor activities.
  • Track and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing reports on key metrics and ROI.
  • Gather feedback from customers, athletes, and retailers to improve future marketing strategies.
Working Conditions:
  • On-site role with occasional travel for events and product launches.
  • Some weekend and evening work may be required for activations and promotional events.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, preferably in sports or retail.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing platforms, including social media, e-commerce, and content creation.
  • Excellent communication, project management, and analytical skills.
  • Passion for soccer and an understanding of the soccer community is a plus.
