We are seeking a Kitchen Supervisor to join our team! You will directly supervise and coordinate activities of residents engaged in preparing and serving food.
Summary
This position is responsible for all aspects of food and kitchen operations of the program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
1. Responsible for all meal preparation, seven days a week.
2. Purchase food and kitchen supplies while adhering to a financial budget.
3. Maintain adequate food supplies at all times: a two-week supply of non-perishables and a three-week supply of perishable foods.
4. Prepare, post, and distribute weekly menus.
5. Provide clear directions for staff who prepare meals when Kitchen Supervisor is not on duty (e.g., days off and breakfast).
6. Maintain high standards of quality and nutrition in food preparation, emphasizing fresh and wholesome foods.
7. Maintains an extermination schedule for kitchen and storage areas.
8. Complies with health and safety laws and regulations.
9. Assure safe kitchen operations at all times; teach residents to safely use all kitchen equipment.
10. Maintain a therapeutic relationship with residents as a member of the staff treatment team.
11. Maintain high quality of service, ensuring that residents are treated with dignity and respect at all times.
12. Familiarity and adherence to all regulatory expectations and ethical standards and Agency policies and procedures, including the Agency’s Core Beliefs.
