As an Independent Skills Facilitator, you will provide the support our clients need to remain independent in their own homes.
Position Purpose: Independent Skills Facilitator provides support and training for an assigned group of clients with developmental disabilities living in their own homes.

Description:
To provide personalized instruction and/or support services to an assigned group of adult clients living in their own homes. Serving the Los Angeles and San Gabriel areas.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist clients in recognizing and identifying training and support needs, participate in futures planning and other client related meetings, collect and summarize data on client progress toward goals, train/teach skills identified on reports, serve as advocate for clients with public and other agencies.
Requirements: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Familiarity with developmental disabilities; an understanding of the philosophy of community-based and work programs; awareness of principles of normalization and development; effective writing skills and ability to chart data, to track client progress and generate reports in an accurate and timely manner; ability to deal effectively with staff, clients and outside community.
Additional Requirements: Must pass a criminal background check and able to pass a post-job offer job-related physical exam. Must obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR Certification. Must possess a California driver’s license (Clean DMV record). Must own a vehicle with proof of liability insurance. Must be a team player, responsible, and reliable.
