Position Purpose: Increase number of clients served and provide overall management of a Day Program Office.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Increase number of clients served in Day Program Office
· Recruit and hire staff
· Train or oversee training of staff
· Follow administrative procedures in timely and accurate manner
· Submit accurate and timely Client billing, Client payroll, and Personnel documents
· Participate in the development of administrative policy and procedures
· Screen, select, complete admission procedures, and program assignment of clients
· Implement Injury and Illness Prevention Program
· Oversee client assessment and INSP development and implementation
· Communicate effectively with other service providers and funding agency personnel
· Coordinate consultant services, if any
· Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance Standards and CARF requirements
· Monitor program expenditures
· May be required to provide direct service to consumers
· All other duties as assigned by the Regional Director
· Mandated Abuse Reporter
Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Three years experience in the field of developmental disabilities, an additional 2 years management experience. Knowledge of the principles of management, supervision and training; knowledge of the principles and techniques of operation of human service agencies; ability to formulate policies and procedures for administration of social services; ability to select, supervise and evaluate the performance of staff. Must have ability to competently use various computer software programs. Effective writing skills and ability to generate reports in an accurate and timely manner. Ability to deal effectively with staff, clients and outside community. Awareness of principles of normalization and development. Must be able to read, write and speak English.
Driving and License Requirements: Must have personal vehicle, valid California Driver’s License, proof of auto liability insurance as mandated by State of California and a good driving record. May be required to drive 9 passenger van.
Criminal Record Clearance: Must obtain and maintain Department of Justice/FBI fingerprint clearance.
Additional Requirements: Must obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR certification. Must be able to pass a post-job offer job-related physical exam, to include a negative TB test if work will be in a licensed facility. Certain locations require the ability to pass a drug screening prior to hire; and randomly thereafter.
