What are the responsibilities and job description for the Donation Associate position at SOCIETY OF ST VINCENT DEPAUL COUNCIL OF NKY DIOCESE?
Reporting to our Retail Store Manager and being a part of our Retail Team, the Donation Center Associate is an important part of our organization as they are the face of the organization to our supporters who donate their material goods to SVdP. As such they play a significant role in creating a favorable first impression for SVdP to our donors and encouraging them to continue to support SVdP.
JOB DUTIES:
- Receive donated goods from donors.
- Assist donors with unloading cars & carrying donations.
- Provide receipts to donors.
- Organize and sort donations as they are brought in, utilizing space available
- Maintain a professional and courteous image while dealing with the public.
- Assist in always keeping area neat and clean.
- Assist truck drivers, to the best of their ability, when loading and unloading donations.
- Demonstrate consistent positive behavior with all internal and external customers and professionally communicate donation policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate effective communication skills.
- Responsible for maintaining a safe working environment by being aware of company safety policies and procedures and reporting any accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions to supervisor.
- Work as scheduled, being flexible when needed.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
