Company Overview:

SoCo Wood & Windows is a building supply company that sells windows, doors, cabinets, and manufactures wood products such as trim, siding, beams, accent walls, etc. We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Window Service Technician to join our team.

Job Overview:

The primary responsibility of this role is to provide timely and effective service and communication to customers who require repairs, adjustments, or maintenance on their installed windows. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering superior service with a focus on customer satisfaction. Use of technology for brand specific window programs will be a integral part of this position.

Responsibilities:

· Communicate consistently to coordinate and follow the daily service schedule.

· Conduct thorough inspections and assessments to diagnose the nature and extent of the issue. Identify repairs, adjustments, or if replacement components are needed. This includes frames, glass panels, seals, hardware, mechanisms, etc.

· Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to complete repairs efficiently and accurately.

· Understand safety precautions surrounding materials, equipment, and self.

· Wear the appropriate work attire. Be safe, professional, and approachable. (i.e. safety footwear, safety glasses, gloves, etc.)

· Keep service vehicles maintained, clean, and always stocked with necessary tools.

· Communicate effectively and professionally with customers to explain the nature of the repairs and provide guidance on proper maintenance practices.

· Record detailed and legible records including and not limited to; communications through phone/email, travel time, work performed, parts used, and vendor/warranty program interaction.

· Learn and comprehend brand/vendor specific warranty and replacement part programs.

· Utilize vendor resources to troubleshoot problems surrounding complex parts and pieces.

· Any other necessary tasks assigned by the supervisor or company in support of company goals.

Qualifications:

· Proven experience in window repair, or maintenance in a residential setting is required.

· Knowledge of general construction applications and terminology and/or window and door applications.

· Work environment with this job includes company showroom, warehouse facilities, company service vehicles, and customer job sites or homes.

· Proficiency in using hand and power tools commonly used in window repair.

· The employee must have the ability to safely lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

· Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

· Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering superior workmanship.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.

· Computer skills i.e., teams, calendars, email, ordering software.

· Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $36.00 per hour
