What are the responsibilities and job description for the Principal Electrical Engineer position at SoCode Recruitment?

Socode are proud to represent a long-standing client who are a global innovation and transformation consultancy, in their search for Principal Electrical Engineers to support key clients in the Consumer and Life Science Industries.

The desired Principal Electrical Engineer will have the following experience :

Extensive experience working on a complex electronic products, and able to demonstrate efficient project management.
Well-versed in Analog and Digital circuit design – candidates with one or more of the following will be considerably favoured : RF, embedded systems, power electronics, software OR Firmware development.
Hands-on experience with firmware development tools (CCS, MPLAB) OR software development tools (C#, Python, or similar) OR hardware design tools (Altium, PADS, EAGLE, or similar)
Leading projects and liaising with technical stakeholders.
Bachelors or master’s in electrical / electronic Engineering or similar

What will they be doing?

Design, evaluate, and validate electrical hardware for low-volume production to mass manufacturing depending on customer requirements.

Build dependable embedded firmware and integrate it with front-end software solutions, utilising languages like Python or C# to enhance early-stage prototypes.

Oversee and support cross-functional teams in activities such as research, ideation, prototyping, testing, and presenting findings to clients, while fostering collaboration to secure future projects.

Identify opportunities for new client partnerships, deliver technical guidance for business growth, and develop strategies to align with project goals and client needs.
