What are the responsibilities and job description for the Architect position at Soderstrom Architects?
Soderstrom Architects is currently seeking a licensed Architect or Architectural Designer with five to eight years of experience to join our team. Our ideal candidate has a great attitude, aptitude, and work ethic that aligns with our company values.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Participate with the project team on the development of design solutions on all project phases, work independently and lead others.
- Project review per jurisdictional code requirements.
- Assist Project Manager/Architect or Project Principal with client interactions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Five to eight years full-time experience as an architect or similar position.
- Four years minimum experience utilizing Revit.
- Knowledge of SketchUp, Enscape, Lumion, Bluebeam, Adobe Creative Suite preferred.
- Professional experience designing educational, commercial, and/or civic buildings.
- Knowledge of current sustainable, energy-efficient design concepts and products.
- Accredited Bachelors or Masters of Architecture degree.
- Architectural license preferred but not required.
- LEED AP accreditation preferred but not required.
