Our Sound Masking team looking for an exceptional and entrepreneurial sound masking sales manager in the Boston – New England area.
Position Summary
Reporting to the Sound Masking General Manager, the Sales Manager will focus on expanding sales within the Fortune commercial office and healthcare markets, primarily targeting Fortune 1000 end-users, contractors and acoustical consultants. The successful candidate will have the skills and experience to prospect, identify, and qualify potential customers, secure appointments, and establish long-lasting relationships. The business development strategy will prioritize direct end-user sales, requiring the establishment of relationships with large Fortune 1000 clients undergoing office relocations, expansions, or refurbishments. The Sales Manager will network and create connections with professionals in commercial real estate, acoustical consultant, commercial furniture dealerships, architecture and design firms, low-voltage contractors, general contractors, electrical contractors, and audiovisual contractors. This role allows for remote work, with the expectation that the candidate will be self-driven, autonomous, and highly motivated.
Responsibilities
- Represent Soft dB with an impeccable attitude that is positive, productive, professional, and geared toward genuine customer satisfaction;
- Establish sales objectives with Soft dB’s management team and deploy all available resources to meet and exceed the objectives;
- Establish a sales action plan and strategy to meet the objectives in its territory;
- Build business relationships with current and potential customers;
- Present and demonstrate the products;
- Prepare proposals in collaboration with the head office;
- Coordinate the installation and calibration of the sound masking systems;
- Maintain SoftdB’s customer database (CRM);
- Produce monthly sales report (including 3-month-forecast) with General Manager.
Education & Experience
- College degree.
- 5 to 10 years in direct sales with strong measurable sales track record in one or more of the following:
- Sound Masking;
- Commercial Real Estate;
- Audio Visual Equipment Manufacturer or Dealers;
- Interior Office Architecture and/or Design;
- Office Furniture Manufacturers or Dealers;
- Commercial Flooring;
- Low Voltage Contractors;
- IT products for large office environments;
- Security and Access Control.
- Computer proficiency in Google Suite and MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
- Experience in database/sales tool management (CRM).

Compensation and Work Conditions
- The compensation will include a base salary and an uncapped commission plan that can more than triple the base salary based on performance;
- Base salary 100K$ US;
- Health Care Insurance Reimbursement Plan;
- Work related (including car mileage) reimbursement;
- Life and Accidental Death Insurance;
- Offices closed between Christmas and New Year's.
- Vacation: 4% of salary.
- Equipment: Laptop and calibration equipment provided, along with an allowance for office supplies.
- Training:
- One-week training at headquarters in Quebec, Canada (expenses paid).
- On-the-job training with the Regional Sales Manager.
