What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software QA Tester position at Softmax?
The Candidate will be responsible for the following :
Performing Software Application Testing of customized solutions within the software platform to support critical business functions and meet the project objectives, client user requirements and company goals.
Communication with project management, clients, and other developers to ensure effective collaboration throughout the testing phase.
Maintaining a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives and innovate ways to meet mission goals successfully.
Direct interaction with clients, managers, and end users as necessary to analyze project objectives and capability requirements, including specifications for user interfaces, customized applications, and interactions with internal and external instances.
Collaboration with various internal departments, including development and operations, to ensure new DMV application supports internal needs relating to functionality and performance.
Responsibilities
Adapts functional business requirements and processes to technical solutions based upon comprehensive enterprise application solution sets.
Understands enterprise resource planning and management processes, including but not limited to : knowledge management, investment analysis, data warehousing, e-commerce, return on investment analysis, human resource analysis, material management and logistics, supply chain management, procurement, ordering, manufacturing, decision support, and information dissemination.
Skills
6 yrs Extensive experience with Microfocus Test Tools ALM
6 yrs Experience with Jira
10 yrs Extensive experience in Testing Reports.
10 yrs Good SQL skills to write SQLs to fetch data from PS tables, for validating table data and testing.
10 yrs Communication with project management, clients, and other developers to ensure effective collaboration throughout the testing phase.
10 yrs Candidates should be able to participate in the entire development lifecycle from design through deployment.
8 yrs Ability to perform requirements review, write test cases, execute test cases, and create defects is essential.
6 yrs. adapting functional business requirements / processes to technical solutions based upon enterprise application solution sets
6 yrs. experience with one or more of following : investment analysis, data warehousing, e-commerce, ROI analysis, HR analysis, info dissemination
10 yrs. experience with ERP management processes such as knowledge mgmt., supply chain mgmt., material mgmt., logistics, and procurement - Highly desired
Bachelor's degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
