Chief Architect
Overview :
Softtek Government Solutions, is seeking a Chief Architect to support our government client.
Duties and Responsibilities :
The Chief Architect will be responsible for implementing, and executing strategy for O&M Tier 3 break-fix support and Agile Software development. The Chief Architect will lead technical resources and will be responsible for mentoring and guiding other technical resources. All technical conflicts / disagreements between Senior IT System Solutions Architects (Cloud, Infrastructure, Database) will be reviewed and resolved by the Chief Architect
Qualifications / Requirements :
Required Education :
- Bachelor's degree with ten (10) or more years of relevant experience in an Enterprise IT environment).
Required Skills / Experience :
AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional.Experience applying The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) in Agile solution designs to minimize technical debt and improve overall velocity.Experience implementing the MVC Development Methodology (Model / View / Controller).Experience designing solutions with a Microservices software architecture.Experience with developing and managing data models with CA Erwin.Experience creating and updating data dictionaries.Experience developing solutions using Message Services, including development of Apache ActiveMQ services.Experience with DevOps pipeline tools including configuration management, requirements (e.g., JIRA), automated testing, and deployment.Experience developing interfaces compliant with National Information Exchange Model (NIEM)standards.
Experience designing and implementing Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions using Microsoft ActiveDirectory and Personal Identity Verification (PIV) cards.
Proficient in network communication protocols, ports, routing, proxy settings, and firewall policies.Experience designing solutions compliant with the Federal Information Management Security Act (FISMA) and the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Security Standards andSecurity Requirements.
Technically proficient in designing and implementing data center / cloud-based hosting solutions, including solution architecture and cost estimation.Familiarity with pricing and licensing models of major enterprise software platforms; making architecture recommendations in consideration of lifecycle cost.Proven ability to develop root case analysis, problem identification and resolution, and roadmap for problems within system design and implementation of existing and new systems.Technical proficiency in optimizing system performance and resource utilization through log and monitoring analysis.Experience analyzing business requirements and designing specifications for technical solutions and associated activities.Technical proficiency with SQL including the ability to create queries to validate data integrity and other data constraints.Excellent active listening and verbal communication skillsStrong business writing abilityFlexible and adaptable attitudeCan conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelinesAbility to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of stakeholdersAbility to discuss technical issues with non-technical, executive-level government officialsLeading and mentoring teamsAbout Softtek Government Solutions
