About the Role:
Softthink Solutions Inc. (STSI) is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) in business analysis, requirements management, and process improvement for IT projects. The selected candidate will work closely with NARA s Investment & Program Management Division and other stakeholders to develop, manage, and improve business and system requirements following Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
Responsibilities:
- Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements for IT systems following NARA s System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Develop High-Level Business Requirements (HLBRs) to support acquisitions and system development.
- Create business analysis work products, including:
- System Requirements Specification (SyRS)
- Requirements Verification Traceability Matrix (RVTM)
- Process Descriptions Document (PDD)
- User Stories
- Participate in Agile Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Grooming) and Waterfall requirements reviews.
- Perform Fit-Gap Analysis to assess IT solutions against business needs.
- Conduct quality assurance assessments of business analysis work products.
- Use requirements management tools (Jira, Agile Accelerator, IBM DOORS) for tracking and managing requirements.
- Facilitate stakeholder discussions, process workshops, and requirement-gathering sessions.
- Provide bi-weekly Business Analyst Task Tracking Dashboards to document project status, action items, and risks.
- Support business process improvement (BPI), business process reengineering (BPR), and business process redesign (BPR) initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst supporting federal or commercial IT projects.
Strong experience with Agile (Scrum) & Waterfall methodologies in software development and system implementation.
Proficiency in requirements elicitation, analysis, validation, and documentation.
Hands-on experience with Jira, IBM DOORS, Agile Accelerator, Microsoft Visio, Word, Excel, and Confluence.
Experience developing and managing epics, features, and user stories in an Agile environment.
Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including facilitating workshops and business process analysis.
Experience performing Fit-Gap Analysis for IT solutions.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
