DevOps/Java Engineer

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a DevOps/Java Engineer for a contract assignment with one of our premier financial services clients in Irving, TX.

Responsibilities :

• Release Management: create and manage releases: communicate with relevant teams to collect tasks assessments and approvals; perform release activities.
• Development & Deployment: setup and maintain component build and deployment processes in cloud environments; automate and optimize common deployment tasks to increase efficiency.
• Infrastructure Maintenance & L3 Support: ensure the infrastructure' stability, scalability and security by maintaining its components, including cloud-based solutions, and provide L3 support when necessary.
• Cybersecurity: Monitor, diagnose and resolve security issues in time and with the best quality; propose solutions to prevents security breaches.
• Integration: create and present integration POCs to evaluate new technologies and methodologies.

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (electronics) and/or computer science
• Proficient in Java, Maven, Spring Boot - 4 years;
• Linux (RHEL7 ), Bash shell scripting - 4 years;
• Cloud: RedHat OpenShift - 3 years;
• DevOps tools: TeamCity, Autosys, Jenkins, uDeploy - 3 years
• JIRA & Confluence, MS Office, ServiceNow - 2 years.
