Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Learning Technologist for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Regulatory clients in Rockville, MD.
This role is Remote (4 onsite visits/year to Rockville office required)
The Learning Technologist is responsible for technical development, implementation, integration, and delivery of multimedia and learning solutions within the firm's systems and environments. This position will have specialized technical skills in the areas of eLearning tools, LMS advancements, and multimedia development. Under general guidance, this role partners with Instructional Designers, Content Managers, System Administrators, and Program Managers across the enterprise to collaboratively design systems and technical solutions necessary to support the delivery of multimodal, just-in-time learning solutions in alignment with the organization's goals and priorities.
Responsibilities:
Assist in firm-wide training initiatives, innovation, and aligned with the strategic goals of the lines of business.
Exercise leadership in projects to enhance systems, create e-Learning, and develop graphics, animations, and videos.
Ensure integration of systems and technology to provide a robust just-in-time training ecosystem, especially via the LMS and LXP.
Oversee adoption and deployment of just-in-time learning such as effective and innovative use of technology in training and learning across multiple modalities, media-based tools, emerging technology, systems management, learner support, staff training/consultations, and media production for instruction.
Promote accessible design and use of technology in all learning modalities.
Identify technical, process and external risks related to training implementations and develop approaches for risk mitigation.
Establish and maintain relationships with key staff and vendors to ensure optimal service and identify strategic and operational technical issues that could impact the training program.
Ensure organizational compliance with firm regulations, policies, guidance related to technology use, and all related accreditation standards.
Ensure adherence to corporate identity and brand guidelines, including management of digital assets. Able to create a variety of visual styles fitting within the overall brand.
Creatively approach projects with an openness to iterative workflows and experimentation.
Other Responsibilities:
Recommend technology and support strategies to meet learning needs.
Lead program development, budgeting, and project management of training initiatives.
Manages external vendor relationships.
Education/Experience Requirements:
A bachelor's degree, master's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant subject area, which might include Learning Technology, Adult Learning, Graphic Design, Education, Communications, or similar related field(s).
Experience administering and building integrations for Learning Management Systems (LMS) and Learning Experience Platforms (LXPs) (Saba SBX and Degreed preferred).
Ability to edit videos and create motion graphics and animation using professional tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud suite, Articulate 360 suite, Camtasia/Canva/Vyond or other video tool.
Knowledge of adult learning principles, training delivery, and capability development; and experience applying these in a business setting.
Strong stakeholder management skills, able to work in a hybrid environment and influence/lead others.
Delivery and outcome-focused with excellent problem-solving skills.
Works well in ambiguity and can quickly adapt to a continuously evolving business and learning landscape.
Highly collaborative, excellent relationship builder and connector, resourceful and well organized.
Working Conditions:
