Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Directly manage personal injury and civil litigation cases, focusing on achieving comprehensive client service and successful outcomes.
- Handle both pre-litigation and litigation aspects of personal injury law, ensuring all legal frameworks and strategies are meticulously crafted and implemented.
- Engage in construction-related litigation as required, applying specialized knowledge to this distinct area.
- Maintain responsibility for meeting firm-mandated billable hour requirements, reflecting a commitment to productivity and efficiency (minimum 1,650 hours/year).
- Collaborate effectively with other attorneys and staff in the development of case strategy, enhancing team cohesion and client representation quality.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in personal injury and civil litigation.
- Current admission to the Florida Bar, qualifying the candidate to practice law within the state immediately.
- Proven litigation skills, with evidence of capacity to lead cases from inception through to resolution.
- Demonstrable experience in managing both the pre-litigation and litigation phases of legal cases.
- Experience with high case volume and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously without sacrificing quality.
- Demonstrated success in securing favorable client outcomes through pre-litigation settlements and trial victories.
- Advanced negotiation skills, capable of managing complex settlement discussions effectively.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, ensuring effective caseload management.
- Exceptional analytical skills for complex case evaluation and strategy formulation.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, crucial for building client relationships and effective courtroom presentations.
- In-depth knowledge of Florida's legal standards and procedural laws regarding personal injury and civil litigation.
- Proficient with legal software and tools necessary for case management and litigation.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, adapting to collaborative environments.
