Location: 377th Medical Group, Kirtland Air Force Base, Albuquerque, NM 87108
Service: Dietitian
Current POP ends11/30/25. TO POP ends 11/30/27. This assignment is a year-long commitment. Shorter contracts will not be considered.

Recognized Holidays: Contract HCWs will not be required to work on federally recognized holidays.
Hours of Performance: The performance hours of the MTF are as follows:
HCW shifts will normally be scheduled for an eight (8) hour period between 0630 and 1730, Monday through Friday. In no instance shall the HCW provide services in excess of eight (8) hours per day or forty (40) hours per week.
Legal Authorization to Work in the United States: HCWs performing under this contract must be a U.S. Citizen.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Degree: Bachelor's degree.
- Education: Graduate from a college or university accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) or completion of a Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) accredited by the ACEND or completion of a post- Baccalaureate degree Dietetic Internship Program of supervised practice (for a minimum of 1200 hours) accredited by ACEND.
- Registration: Possess current registration as a Registered Dietitian from the Commission on Dietetic Registration of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Experience: Possess three years of experience in wellness, sports nutrition, or nutrition education. Should be a role model in weight, fitness, and other healthy lifestyle behaviors.
- Board Certification: Board eligible Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics and must be successfully granted provider privileges by the Credentials Office and maintain privileges.
- Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted dietetics license or certification as required in the TO.
- Plan and organize work of considerable difficulty and responsibility under minimal supervision.
- Participate in research and performance improvement studies.
- Conduct nutrition assessment/evaluation which includes nutrient intake, activity level, appetite, intake of vitamins, minerals, nutritional supplements, and other complimentary alternative medicine usage, weight history, taste changes, feeding problems, food intolerance, food-drug interactions, unhealthy diet behaviors, socioeconomic and ethnic background, documented medical history, current diagnoses and medical treatment modalities, current drug therapy, and clinical signs and symptoms of nutritional deficiencies.
