Job Description:
Position Summary:
- This role will have a foundational understanding of ServiceNow development and be eager to learn and grow in this dynamic field.
- It involves assisting in the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow applications and integrations, under the guidance of senior developers and architects.
Responsibilities:
- ServiceNow Development: Assist in the development, configuration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform, including but not limited to Service Catalog, Incident, Problem, Change, and CMDB.
- Customization: Develop simple to moderate custom applications, workflows, and modules using ServiceNow Studio.
- Scripting: Write and maintain client-side and server-side scripts, including Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, and Scheduled Jobs.
- Integration: Assist in integrating ServiceNow with other systems using APIs and integration tools.
- Documentation: Create and maintain documentation for developed applications, customizations, and integrations.
- Support: Provide tier 1 support for ServiceNow issues and resolve tickets related to the platform.
- Testing: Participate in the testing and validation of new features and functionalities to ensure alignment with business requirements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with senior developers, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in software development, with a focus on ServiceNow or a similar platform.
Preferred Skills:
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and XML.
- Familiarity with ServiceNow modules like Incident, Problem, Change, and Service Catalog.
- Understanding of database concepts, preferably SQL.
- Exposure to REST/SOAP web services is a plus.
Certifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
