Job Description:
Position Overview:
- The ServiceNow Business Analyst I will work closely with stakeholders across various departments to gather requirements, document processes, and assist in the development and implementation of ServiceNow solutions.
- This role involves supporting the continuous improvement of IT and business workflows, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- The ideal candidate will be an entry-level professional with a foundational understanding of IT service management (ITSM) and a strong interest in expanding their knowledge of the ServiceNow platform.
Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to identify business needs and translate them into functional requirements for ServiceNow solutions.
- Process Documentation: Document current business processes and workflows, identify areas for improvement, and assist in the development of new processes aligned with best practices.
- Configuration Support: Assist in the configuration of ServiceNow applications to meet business requirements, including forms, workflows, and reports.
- Testing and Validation: Participate in the testing of ServiceNow solutions, ensuring that they meet the specified requirements and are free of defects.
- Training and Support: Help develop training materials and provide support to end-users on ServiceNow applications and processes.
- Continuous Improvement: Support efforts to continuously improve ITSM processes and the ServiceNow platform by identifying and proposing enhancements.
- Data Analysis: Assist in analyzing data from ServiceNow to generate reports and insights that support business decisions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all requirements, configurations, and process changes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the ServiceNow development team and other IT personnel to ensure successful project delivery.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in business analysis, IT service management, or a related field. Exposure to ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of ITSM processes and ServiceNow functionality. Familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies is beneficial.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, collaborating with colleagues across different departments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Fundamentals training or certification.
- Experience with other ITSM tools and methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript) is a plus.
