What are the responsibilities and job description for the MRB Stress Engineer position at SOGECLAIR?
TASKS YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH 🎯
- Perform static and fatigue stress calculations to assess MRB-repaired primary structures.
- Develop and validate structural repair solutions for metallic and composite components.
- Conduct hand calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) to justify non-conformance dispositions.
- Ensure that repair and rework solutions comply with industry regulations.
- Support manufacturing and production teams by providing rapid engineering assessments of non-conforming structures.
- Create engineering reports, stress substantiations, and justification documents for MRB dispositions.
- Collaborate with design, materials, and manufacturing engineers to develop cost-effective repair strategies.
- Participate in failure investigations and root cause analysis to improve product reliability.
- Work closely with certification authorities to ensure compliance with structural integrity standards.
- Support design changes and modifications by assessing stress impacts on primary structures.
YOUR PROFILE IS ESSENTIAL TO OUR SUCCESS💎
- Bachelor Degree of Science in Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in aerospace repair engineering.
- Experience with Boeing aircraft models; if you have worked on the 737, 787, or 777 models (an asset).
- Extensive experience in fuselage structures or on other major OEM aircraft platforms.
- Engineering knowledge with experience of FEM in aircraft industry.
- Experience with Static and Fatigue Analysis in aircraft industry.
- Ability to work under tight schedule and manage multiple urgent tasks in parallel.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with a proactive approach to discuss technical issues
- Experience utilizing MS office (Word, Excel, etc.) and Patran/Nastran.
- Ability to work full-time on-site in Wichita (mandatory).
- Must have U.S. citizenship (mandatory).
