At Soho Works, a Receptionist, is responsible for welcoming, directing or signing in all members and guests to the Soho Works property. You will also be responsible for maintaining the reception desk, coffee station and handle basic computer / AV duties as well as performing Guest List responsibilities.
A successful Receptionist is responsible for being knowledgeable on all aspects of the property, neighborhood and fostering the "home away from home" feeling. We hope that you're a people person with excellent professional phone etiquette and a flair for making members and guests feel welcome!
Main Duties
- Ensure every member is welcomed by name (if local) and guest is welcomed with open arms and in a hospitable manner with complete overview of site offerings and where to find additional resources if needed
- Answer high-volume phone lines and conduct office services including courier bookings, binding, bulk, printing, laminating, postage (receiving / sending) etc.; familiarity with all costs / procedures
- Understand best practices when asked question regarding catering menus, hours of operation and amenity availability / pricing
- Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work environment, reception desk area, coffee / barista station and coat check / AV and IT closet
- Perform Guest List duties and support, redirect and problem solve in real-time to ensure any guest related concerns are addressed and action items have been set

- Build relationships with members and guests and communicate and red flags and positive feedback to management to assess
- Influence a fun and positive atmosphere by being approachable and professional as well as oversight of receptionist assign per shift. Delegate appropriate tasks to receptionists and ensure the task is completed
- Event bookings for users when requested; meeting room bookings for users when requested
- Fully trained in all operational software
- Assist with food set-up for breakfast, lunch, events etc. as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
