What are the responsibilities and job description for the TOUR MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST position at SOJOURN BICYCLING & ACTIVE VACATIONS?
We seek a part-time (10-15 hrs. weekly) detail-oriented professional at our Shelburne, VT, location. This is a part-time position with flexible hours and is responsible for assisting and supporting the pre and post-tour vendor communications. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with multiple team members and vendors and understand operations and team deliverables. This role is eligible for a one-time signing bonus of $500. The bonus will be paid out after completing a successful 180-day with the company.
RESPONSIBILITIES
PRE-TRIP
– Communicate with vendors to confirm contract terms
– Book pre-tour non biking activities
POST-TRIP
– Manage trip budget reconciliation and vendor invoices
OTHER
– Assist with hotel and vendor date confirmation during the contracting process
– Answer overflow sales calls and assist with bookings and Pax conversion
COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
– Strong organizational and time management skills with a proactive approach
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Space
– Excellent written and oral communication skills
– Outstanding customer service skills
– Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
– Track record of project ownership from inception to completion
– Strong computer skills with the ability to learn new systems
Education/Experience:
– College Degree
