A licensed Illinois craft grower is looking for a qualified applicants to serve as the Wholesale Sales Manager in Fulton, Illinois.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Wholesale Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive revenue growth. This role requires a deep understanding of the cannabis industry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to build and maintain client relationships. The ideal candidate will have experience in sales strategy, account management, and regulatory compliance within the cannabis sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Execution: Work with Management to develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and revenue.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with dispensaries, wholesalers, and distributors.
- Sales and Order fulfillment: Curate and assemble Sales orders for customers based off company and customer needs.
- Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to optimize sales performance.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all sales activities align with IL state regulations.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Build and maintain customer facing menus, Track sales performance, generate reports, and work with board to forecast revenue to guide business decisions.
- Brand Representation: Promote the company’s brand and product portfolio at customer locations, industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
- Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, and product development teams to align sales efforts with company goals.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in cannabis sales, business development, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the cannabis industry, including regulations and market dynamics.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed business decisions.
- Experience using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Must be able to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Existing relationships within the cannabis industry.
- Previous experience in managing a sales team.
Additional knowledge of cannabis varieties, products, treatment options regarding various ailments, patient confidentiality (HIPAA), and the state program (Cannabis Regulation and Tax Act 410 ILCS 705, IDPH Title 77 IL Adm. Code 946, IL Adm. Code Title 8 Chapter I Subchapter v Part 1300) is encouraged.
All applicants are required to undergo an FBI background check and fingerprinting through the state of Illinois, as required by state law. No individual is allowed to work in a licensed cannabis facility prior to undergoing a background check, being fingerprinted, and receiving their cannabis agent card from the State of Illinois.
