This pivotal role involves overseeing daily preventive and corrective Quality Control activities for Federal construction projects, ensuring compliance with stringent quality standards and client satisfaction across the United States.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the Quality Control Plan in alignment with the Army Corps Three Phases of Control.
- Collaborate with project teams to verify that all submittals adhere to contractual obligations.
- Review construction plans and specifications to confirm that all requirements are met.
- Provide documented evaluations and quality control assistance to team members and subcontractors.
- Distribute comprehensive inspection and testing results to relevant regulatory entities.
- Ensure prompt and effective preventive and corrective actions are executed to eliminate or reduce recurring issues.
- Lead pre-final inspections, create punch lists when necessary, and confirm that deficiencies are rectified.
- Organize and conduct final inspections alongside government contracting personnel.
- Strong comprehension of construction divisions and procedures.
- Proficiency in reading construction prints, plans, and schedules.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to conduct inspections and prepare quality control documentation.
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and CPR/First Aid training certification.
- Experience with HVAC, Boiler, and Mechanical Rooms is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction, or a related discipline is preferred, or a minimum of 5 years of Quality Management experience.
- Certification in Total Construction Quality Management for Contractors from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is required or must be obtained prior to employment.
- US Citizenship is mandatory, along with the ability to pass security clearance and drug tests.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
