What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Summer Intern position at Sol Systems?
Sol Systems is seeking a Construction Summer Intern to help support the team in Washington DC. The intern will support the Construction team as a Project Coordinator, working closely with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Construction Managers, the Quality Manager, and Project Controls to track and manage deliverables under project contracts (EPCA, PPA) to substantiate major milestones. The intern will implement the use of our trackers and build upon those as we identify gaps. This is a great role for students interested in learning more about various aspects of Construction in renewable energy.

The Construction Intern will be responsible for
- Tracking project deliverables through the phase of construction
- Supporting the Project Management Team in review of invoices
- Attending project meetings, take notes, and following up on key action items
- Coordinate review and approval of key project tests with the PM Team, Quality Manager, and Commissioning Manager
- Work with Project Controls to ensure regular and timely updates to project financials and schedules for EPC and Owner Furnished Equipment (OFE) spend
- Work with Project Management Team to continue building and improving upon internal tools in Smartsheet and preparing these for transition into PowerBI
- Additional duties as assigned
- Undergraduate rising junior or senior, Engineering or Construction majors preferred
- Proficient organizational skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Proficient communication skills
