Required Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
- At least 5 years’ experience maintaining and repairing all types of commercial plumbing systems.
- Possession of all basic plumbing hand tools.
- Demonstrate willingness to invest time in service training seminars and classes.
- Demonstrate commitment to developing customer service skills.
- Demonstrate mechanical aptitude, through assessments.
- Familiarity and commitment to job-site safety
- Work from up to 28’ extension ladder and 12’ step ladder.
- Ability to operate power and hand tools safely.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and fix issues with plumbing systems such as leaks, clogs, broken pipes, or malfunctioning fixtures.
- Install new plumbing systems, fixtures, pipes, and appliances according to building codes and blueprints.
- Conduct regular inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Identify problems by using testing equipment, understanding blueprints, and consulting with clients or building managers.
- Communicate with clients or building managers to understand their plumbing needs, explaining repairs or installations, and providing estimates for services.
- Always maintain a professional appearance and attitude.
- Ensure all work meets relevant building codes, safety standards, and regulations.
- Using existing software, provide detailed records of repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, contractors, or colleagues on larger projects.
- Be available for emergency plumbing services outside of regular working hours.
- Stay updated on advancements in plumbing technology, techniques, and regulations through training and professional development.
- Mastery of all common of service tools and testing devices.
- Other duties as assigned.
