Cafe Manager at Solana - Cafe

Morning Lavender in Solana Beach, CA is looking for one cafe manager to join our team. We are located on 329 S. 101 Suite 130. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and hard-working.

The Cafe Manager is responsible for facilitating and supervising daily operations at the Cafe to ensure that employees work together and effectively to deliver exceptional products, customer service, and contribute to the Cafe upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Hire and onboard new Baristas and Afternoon Tea staff.
• Ongoing training to all employees on drinks preparation, food preparation, and proper use of all equipment.
• Monitor and Maintain inventory. Coordinate with vendors and order supplies, as needed.
• Add new menu items based on seasonality and customers’ preferences.
• Maintain and service all equipment in the cafe.
• Be the Customer Service Escalation point. Advise staff on the best ways to resolve issues with customers and continually train on customer service with staff.
• Ensure all cafe areas are clean and tidy daily.
• Be an example and nurture friendly relationships with customers to increase loyalty and boost our reputation.
• Create, maintain, and continually improve the training manual for the Cafe and Afternoon Tea Service. 
• Manage Afternoon Tea and Private Party reservations. 
• Maintain records of staff documents (food handler’s cards, training checklists) and company recipes.
• Coordinate staffing and scheduling for Cafe Special Events.

Qualifications

• Cafe Lead/Management experience and
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which includes, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely.
• Basic computer skills.
• Physical Requirements: Standing on feet for longer than 6 hours and able to lift up to 20lbs

Available shifts and compensation: We have available shifts all days of the week. Compensation is $27.00 - $33.00/hour.
