Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students.
- Utilize various teaching methods and learning technologies to enhance student understanding and participation.
- Provide individualized tutoring and support to students who require additional assistance in subjects such as Math and Physical Education.
- Monitor student progress and behavior management, providing constructive feedback to encourage growth.
- Create a safe and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, cooperation, and positive interactions among students.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration to support student development and address any concerns regarding childhood development or early intervention needs.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices and curriculum development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Special Education PA teaching certification required.
- Experience in classroom management, tutoring, or childcare settings is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of childhood development principles and effective behavior management strategies.
- Ability to develop age-appropriate curriculum that fosters learning across various subjects including Math and Physical Education.
- Proficient in using learning technology tools to enhance classroom instruction.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
