Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Bankruptcy Attorney to join our legal team. The Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice, representing clients in court, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Bar admission in one or more states in which the Firm has an office and where the candidate desires to be a resident is required.
We seek a motivated individual devoted to meeting the highest standards of excellence and serving clients, and who wants to be part of an established and dynamic office and firm.
Strong academic credentials and excellent oral and written communication skills are
required. Litigation experience is a plus. We offer a competitive starting salary plus a
comprehensive benefits program. Salary is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel to clients in various areas of law including Immigration, Environmental, Securities, Personal Injury, and Family Law.
- Draft legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and motions with precision and clarity.
- Conduct thorough research using tools like Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw to support case preparation.
- Negotiate settlements and agreements on behalf of clients while advocating for their best interests.
- Represent clients in court proceedings and administrative hearings as necessary.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in laws and regulations that may affect clients.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure effective case management.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
- Proven experience in one or more areas of law such as Bankruptcy, Commercial Real Estate, Tax, Trusts & Estates, M&A.
- Strong writing skills with a focus on legal drafting.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Proficiency in legal research tools such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal.
