POSITION OBJECTIVE:
Program, set up and operate machines and tools to perform any operation within machine capacity with special fixtures or holding devices if required.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
Perform complete and independent setup of various machine tools and perform any operation within the machine's capacity, working from prints, programs, sketches, oral and written instructions to determine the sequence of operations to be performed, dimensions and tolerances to be held, tools to use, method of locating, aligning, and holding work, and feeds and speeds. Make machine adjustments for efficient machining operations. Use precision measuring instruments, machines and gauges to check own work for conformance to specifications. As required, pre-set and/or sharpen cutting tools. Order or request shop supplies, machine replacement parts, etc. Must be able to set up and operate all machining equipment in the machine shop or in the area assigned.

2.Must keep all areas clean and orderly; and comply with TurboFab’s housekeeping procedures.

5.Machine components to required tolerance and meet quality standards.
6.Must apply continuous improvement techniques.
7.Insure equipment is functioning properly.
8.Keep and maintain records and documents as required.
9.Train less experienced machinists as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- This position is for the well-experienced Machinist and Machine Operators of the new computerized burn table with over 10 years of experience as a machinist or machine operator and requires minimal supervision to perform the job.
- Must possess skills of setting up and running the production machining equipment.
- Capable of reading and interpreting drawings.
- Understanding and skilled in the use of precision measuring equipment and gauges to inspect machined parts.
- Must have the skills, knowledge in operating manual and CNC machining equipment, including the ability to write, change and update programs.
- Must exhibit the skills and willingness to perform assigned tasks in a fully competent manner.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Good communication skills both verbal and written.
Summary Pay Range:
$28.29 - $42.43
