Position Overview
The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical panels meet the required quality standards before they are shipped to customers. The primary responsibilities include inspecting electrical panels, documenting findings, and maintaining an open line of communication with the production, project management, and engineering teams to address any quality issues. The Quality Inspector will prepare inspection reports and ensure that all panels comply with Solarcraft quality standards.

Scheduled Shift: 02:30PM-11:00PM
Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect electrical panels based on engineering drawings and specifications to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Document inspection results, including taking pictures of any defects or issues.
- Communicate with the production, engineering, and procurement team to address and resolve quality issues.
- Coordinate with the project management team when systems are ready to ship.
- Complete all inspections transactions, ensuring accuracy.
- Prepare inspection reports and documentation for each panel inspected.
- May perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- A minimum of 1 year of experience quality, engineering or in a related field
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of Envision is a plus
- Familiarity with Solarcraft products and internal processes is a plus
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Must have the ability to read, speak and write in English fluently
- Ability to perform basic math relevant to job function
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures
- Ability to stoop, reach, stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
- Ability to push, pull, and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- May be required to climb stairs, kneel, or crouch to access equipment or retrieve materials
