Solaris HealthCare is looking for a Staffing Coordinator to join our team!
Staffing Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule healthcare staff, including nurses, nursing assistants, therapists, and other clinical and non-clinical personnel, to ensure appropriate coverage for all shifts.
- Evaluate staffing needs based on resident/patient acuity, census, and regulatory requirements, and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Communicate staffing needs, shift changes, and scheduling updates to staff members, managers, and administrators in a timely and effective manner.
- Coordinate with staffing agencies and temporary staffing services to fill open shifts and maintain adequate staffing levels during peak demand periods or staff shortages.
- Verify credentials, certifications, and licensure for all staff members and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
- Monitor and track employee attendance, tardiness, and time-off requests, and maintain accurate records of worked hours and overtime.
- Assist in managing staffing budgets by monitoring labor costs, overtime expenses, and agency staffing expenditures.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating staff training sessions, orientations, and in-services to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, scheduling databases, and staffing reports using electronic scheduling and workforce management systems.
- Address staffing issues, conflicts, and scheduling concerns in a proactive and timely manner, collaborating with department managers and human resources as needed.
Staffing Coordinator Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in healthcare staffing, scheduling, or workforce management preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff members, managers, and external vendors.
- Proficiency in computer applications and scheduling software.
- Knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and healthcare staffing requirements.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing staffing needs and schedules.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to ethical and professional standards.
- Enrolled in a State approved Certified Nurse’s Aide training program and complete that certified testing within 120 days of employment (preferred) or active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
