To help us continue to grow our offerings, we’re searching for a Territory Sales Representative to serve the designated market. As an Territory Sales Representative, you will foster new and existing relationships with roofing customers in the Florida territory in order to maximize revenue potential and drive brand awareness. The right candidate will be energetic and highly motivated, with a proven track record in sales generation within the building materials industry.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and manage a target/conversion list of Residential Roofing Contractors and Key Dealer targets.
- Maintain aggressive primary demand call schedule throughout the year; executing ‘Pull Sale’ strategy to generate demand through the channel.
- Convert and maintain strong business relationships with Tier I roofing contractors within territory.
- Execute high performance sales process to convert market share and volume from competitors.
- Drive both market development and sales development strategies within territory securing Solatube as the market standard.
- Strategically establish rapport with key decision makers within the channel to drive results.
- Train dealer inside and outside sales representatives to build awareness of product lines ultimately building an extension of the sales force.
- Identify new business development opportunities by networking through channel and other methods.
- Manage contractor and channel target lists proficiently through sales pipeline to meet monthly, quarterly and annual budgets.
- Operate with respect both with internal and external customers.
- Represent the organization in a professional manner which draws our customers towards us as good partners.
- Support broader KLA/Solatube growth initiatives by working with a teamwork mentality.
- Leverages technology to keep updated Outlook/Salesforce calendar reflecting all appointments and schedules. Create and maintain customer records using our automated systems (i.e. CRM).
- Keeps supervisor informed of key issues/changes occurring in assigned territory such as: competitor programs/products/actions/pricing/promotions, changes in dealers/distributors, dealer personnel, etc.
- Utilizes analytical approach to uncover market dynamics and opportunities.
- Proactively prepares meeting documents for meetings with customer targets.
- Maintains organized home and remote offices while in market.
- Operates in an effective and efficient working rhythm which drives results.
- Manages market with a high sense of urgency while maintaining a positive winning attitude to defeat competition.
- Be fully up to speed on proper installation guidelines and products features and benefits to deliver effective and impactful Product Knowledge sessions to customer network.
- Works in a hyper efficient and effective manner while maintaining thorough and thought provoking execution.
- Ability to complete tasks in timely manner and drive sales initiatives/programs successfully.
- Maintains accountability for decisions and the results of work performed.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the National Sales, Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION
- Minimum two (2) years’ experience in regional outside sales, preferably in B2B and/or building materials related industry.
- Excellent presentation, written and oral communication, and organizational skills.
- Motivated to perform with excellence.
- Computer competency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software required.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION
The position is salaried. The employee must be “drug free”, in that he or she may not hold the position and use illegal and/or non-prescribed drugs. Good hearing and vision. Frequent and prolonged standing, walking, and sitting. Some climbing and lifting to 50 lbs. Uses standard office equipment. Traveling up to 50%. Ability to operate a vehicle.
