Solbasium is a health tech company on a mission to redefine human recovery and performance. We design and manufacture cutting edge wellness technology from electric cryotherapy systems to advanced light therapy devices used by professional athletes, elite trainers, and wellness-forward consumers worldwide. With multiple patents pending, retail partnerships in motion we’re entering a high growth phase and looking for a CFO who can scale with us.
The Role
As our first CFO, you will be a strategic thought partner to the CEO and a foundational member of the executive team. You’ll lead all financial planning, analysis, and operations while also owning investor communications, fundraising support, and long-term financial strategy.
This role is perfect for a finance leader who thrives in early-stage environments and knows how to balance precision with speed, growth with discipline.
- Build and own Solbasium’s financial model, forecasts, and KPIs.
- Oversee budgeting, cash flow, cost management, and burn rate tracking.
- Develop internal financial systems, reporting processes, and dashboards.
- Serve as lead liaison with current and future investors.
- Prepare and present board-ready materials, decks, and financial updates.
- Support fundraising strategy, due diligence, and capital allocation.
- Help shape valuation, equity structure, and cap table management.
- Manage tax strategy, legal compliance, audits, and financial risk.
- Coordinate with legal and paralegal staff on equity, contracts, and obligations.
- Oversee bookkeeping, accounting, and reporting (in-house or outsourced).
- Advise on pricing strategy, revenue streams, product margins, and expansion plans.
- Work cross-functionally with Sales, Ops, and Product to align spend with growth.
- Model scenarios to support decision-making (team growth, marketing spend, R&D).
- 5–10 years of experience in senior finance roles (preferably CFO, VP Finance)
- Proven track record in investor relations and capital raising
- Experience in hardware, DTC, or health/wellness startups (bonus: B2B retail)
- Strong modeling, forecasting, and storytelling skills (Excel pitch decks)
- Deep understanding of financial statements, tax, compliance, and GAAP
- Able to thrive in ambiguity and move fast with confidence
