Position Summary:
TCG Labs-Soleil is looking for a top-notch Biosensor Assay Leader to join our team. We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated professional to establish and lead our Biosensor Assay Team within the cutting-edge Biologics Technology Group. In this exciting leadership role, you’ll be at the forefront of innovative science as you oversee and shape the biosensor assay capabilities that support a diverse pipleline of protein and antibody-based pre-clinical therapeutics. You’ll collaborate with a talented and interdisciplinary team of scientists across research and early development, driving the technical excellence that will pave the way for future breakthroughs.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the development and implementation of biosensor-based assays that include antibody screening, antibody epitope binning, and binding kinetics assays for the characterization of diverse therapeutic biologics (monoclonal antibodies, bispecific antibodies, fusion proteins, etc.).
• Manage and grow the biosensor assay team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Partner with scientists across research and early development to provide critical assay support for a broad therapeutic pipeline.
• Champion the integration of biosensor technology in the pre-clinical therapeutic space, ensuring the highest level of scientific rigor and precision.
• Design, implement, and validate medium to high-throughput biosensor experiments, make detailed observations, analyze and interpret data, and deliver results in a concise and timely manner to the team.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues associated with biosensor assays.
• Manage direct report, CROs and external collaborations on biosensor assay.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in biosensor technology and high-throughput assays documentation.
• This is a full-time and lab-based position.
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. or equivalent in a related discipline (e.g. biochemistry, biophysics, analytical chemistry) with 5-8 years’ experience in protein and antibody characterization in industry setting, preferably startup or biotechnology companies.
• Expert in biosensor techniques including SPR, BLI, and solution kinetics.
• Strong hands-on experience and troubleshooting abilities with various biosensor instrument such as Carterra, Biacore, and Gator.
• Strong hands-on experience with biosensor assays from large panel antibody screening, antibody epitope binning, to detailed SPR binding kinetics is required.
• Strong hands-on experience with various biosensor approaches in biotherapeutics discovery including but not limited to pH sensitivity study, FcgR/FcRn binding study.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems
• Strong attention to details in experimental setup, capability to multitask and run multiple experiments in parallel without compromising quality.
• Excellent oral presentation and written communication skills.
• Strong team working skills, flexible and able to adapt in new scientific areas and learn new techniques quickly.
• Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced and diverse environment.
• Demonstrated scientific publication work.

The anticipated salary range for fully qualified candidates applying for this role will be $122,500 - $250,000 annually (not including discretionary bonus, equity, and benefits). The final salary offered will be dependent on several factors that include but are not limited to relevant previous experience including duration and type of experience within the industry, education, and internal equity.
