SUMMARY:
Oversees the lifeguards in the absence of the Pool Manager. Will ensure that the proper emergency action plans are followed, in the event of an emergency. Oversees the safety of the pool and activities department. In addition, monitors guest activities in the swimming pool areas to prevent accidents and provide assistance to swimmers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cautions swimmers regarding unsafe activities.
- Ensure the success of the department and organization with collaboration of others.
- Rescues swimmers who are in danger of drowning and administers first aid.
- Maintains order in the swimming pool areas.
- Inspects pools and surrounding areas for cleanliness.
- May be asked to clean and refill swimming pools.
- May be asked to determine chlorine content and ph values in water using testing kits.
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Ensure Aquatics team remains professional and is meeting department standards.
- Complete daily task in timely manner
- Appropriately documents accidents and incidents and other company forms as needed.
- May officiate team member training.
- May conduct or officiate at water events such as water volleyball matches.
- May give swimming classes or instruction.
- Performs all other job requests as assigned by management.
- Oversee special events coordinated by management.
Requirements
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Must have effective oral and written communication skills in English.
- Must have basic math skills and aptitude.
- Must have a professional appearance and attitude.
- Must have basic knowledge of pool chemical testing.
- Must have a minimum of one(1) year experience in related field.
- Must be Clark County or Red Cross Certified Lifeguard
- Must have a current CPR certification
- Must have flexible schedule
- Must be willing to obtain additional certifications management deems fit.
- Supervisor or lead experience preferred.
