Burnham, IL: Learning Behavior Specialist (K-2, Cross-categorical)

Calling on Learning Behavior Specialistsbased in Burnham, IL, and who want to support students with cross-categorical needs! Soliant has partnered with an elementary school and is seeking teachers for a K-2 cross categorical Special Education classroom.

Requirements:

• Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS)certificate from the Illinois State Department of Education
• 1 years of experience with cross-categoricalprograms preferred

Pay and benefits:

• Hourly, W2 pay of $43to $50per hour

Description of duties:

• Collaborate with diagnosticians, staff, and families to determine if students need an Individualized Education Plan (IEP)
• Develop social and academic programs according to IEPs.
• Plan lessons in accordance with IEP goals
• Monitor student progress with a blend of informal observations and scored assessments
• Present positive role model for students
• Refer to community resources aid students in dealing with emotional/physical needs
• Manage student behavior and administer discipline according to IEP.
• Plan and supervise activities for teacher aide(s) and/or volunteer(s)
• Ensure that instructional program is compliant withcampus, district, state, and federal policies and regulations.
• Maintain timely and accurate reports, records, and documents.
