Position Overview:
As a School Occupational Therapist, you will work collaboratively with students, teachers, and families to enhance the functional skills of students with various needs. This part-time position requires mitment for 2-3 days a week and offers a supportive and dynamic work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments to evaluate students' occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff to promote student success.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in a school setting.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust plans as necessary.
- Educate staff and parents on strategies to support students' needs.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid New York State OT license.
- Previous experience in a school setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
