A school in Kent City, MI is seeking a qualified and passionate part-time Occupational Therapist (OT) for a position working three days a week. The OT will manage a caseload, conducting prehensive evaluations and providing therapy for students' occupational therapy needs. The director is prepared to promptly review applications and conduct interviews.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct prehensive evaluations and diagnoses of occupational therapy needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address each patients unique needs.
- Provide direct therapy to students in individual and group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient conditions, treatment plans, therapy sessions, and progress.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide remendations for student support.
- Supervise and provide guidance to occupational therapy assistants as needed.
Experience:
- Previous experience in an occupational therapy setting.
- Experience working in a school setting as an OT is preferred.
Education:
- Must have a masters degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Full accreditation (OTR) is preferred.
- Must be licensed to practice in Michigan.
