• Completing evaluations at the elementary level for students with significant disabilities. From April through June, covering a maternity leave at another elementary school, evaluations, MTSS, and responding to student needs

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed School Psychologist in the state of New York
• Master's degree in School Psychology or a related field
• School experience is preferred but not required
  
  

Skills & Abilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations to assess students' cognitive, academic, social-emotional, and behavioral functioning.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized interventions and support plans.
• Provide counseling and therapy services to students facing emotional or behavioral challenges, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Serve as a resource and provide training to school staff on topics such as mental health, behavior management, and crisis intervention.
