Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team in Lunenburg, MA. In this role, you will support students with diverse learning needs by developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) and providing specialized instruction to help them succeed academically and socially. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
• Provide direct instruction to students with a variety of learning disabilities or challenges.
• Modify and adapt lessons and teaching materials to meet the unique needs of students.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other staff members to support students' academic and social development.
• Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure continued growth.
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing updates on student progress and collaborating on goal-setting.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports diverse learners.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education required.
• Massachusetts State Licensure in Special Education required.
• Previous experience in a special education setting is preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Patience, creativity, and flexibility in working with students with varying needs.
