Associate Attorney – Labor & Employment

A well-established Am 200 law firm is seeking a talented attorney with 3-4 years of litigation experience in a law firm environment handling L&E related matters. 

Qualifications:

• • Labor & Employment law experience
    • Familiarity with employment-related laws, including:
      • • Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
        • Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA)
        • Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA)
        • Age Discrimination in Employment Act
        • Americans with Disabilities Act
        • Family and Medical Leave Act
        • Title VII of the Civil Rights Act
  • Excellent academic credentials
  • Strong writing, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
  • Admission to practice in Florida

Responsibilities:

• Advise clients on wage and hour compliance and other employment regulations
• Handle administrative actions and assist in employment litigation and arbitration
• Draft pleadings and motions
• Prepare and respond to discovery
• Participate in trials and arbitrations
