What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custom Wood Finisher position at Solid Surface Craftsman?
Since its inception in 1987, Solid Surface Craftsman, Inc. (SSC) has been driven to provide the best quality products to the commercial and residential millwork market.
Our finishing facility is one of the leaders in the Northeast specializing in custom colorization that can match any color you can imagine. We are looking for hard-working, self-driven individuals to join our team. Daily, you will be sanding multiple species of wood and applying stain, paint, or various finishes.
HERE'S AN IDEA OF WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT TO DO-
- Operate standard sanding equipment
- Ensure equipment is in safe working condition
- Read various blueprints and drawings to complete tasks
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Promote positive and professional relationships with team members
- Be able to safely lift up to 30 pounds
- Completes other duties and projects, as assigned
- Learn and take direction from management and direct mentors
HERE'S WHAT WE REQUIRE-
- Verifying your legal right to work in the United States under the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA)
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE-
- 2 years wood finishing
- Rexson-Kremelin spray equipment
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
