Job Description
Solis Applied Science is seeking an Expert level Imagery Scientist Photogrammetrist with proficiency in applying photogrammetric techniques across monoscopic, stereoscopic, and multiscopic modes, including error propagation analysis. Position is located in the Northern Virginia area.
Responsibilities
The role requires expertise in using photogrammetry on various imagery types (e.g., satellite, tactical, ground, and video) and a solid understanding of photogrammetry, trigonometry, statistics, geodesy, and overhead imaging. Proficiency with COTS and GOTS photogrammetric and ELT software (e.g., MSP, SOCET GXP, CGS, RemoteView, AGI Systems Tool Kit, MicroStation / AutoCAD, Compass, EOS PhotoModeler, and Context Capture) is required.
Required Skills
- Must possess a current U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (TS / SCI)
- Must be able to obtain a CI polygraph
- Use photogrammetric and remote sensing tools to analyze satellite, aerial, and UAV imagery for target identification, change detection, and site analysis.
- Proficient in using photogrammetric software (e.g., SOCET GXP, ENVI, and RemoteView) and understanding complex image measurement, calibration, and error propagation methods.
- Collaborate with other intelligence specialists (SIGINT, HUMINT, etc.) to integrate imagery data into broader intelligence assessments.
- Utilize photogrammetric techniques and GIS tools (e.g., ArcGIS, ENVI) to create and analyze geospatial data from imagery.
- Conduct 3D modeling, mapping, and terrain analysis to support military operations and planning.
- Perform change detection and imagery exploitation to detect and report modifications in terrain or infrastructure.
- Work with different imagery sources (e.g., optical, radar, infrared) to process and analyze data.
- Provide expertise in sensor technologies, error propagation, and calibration of imagery for accurate interpretation.
- Use photogrammetry for detailed feature extraction and visualization in 3D.
- Offer expert advice on photogrammetric techniques and their application in intelligence operations, such as surveillance and target tracking.
- Support the development and implementation of photogrammetric systems and tools for imagery analysis.
- Conduct training for personnel on the use of photogrammetry in imagery analysis.
