Job Description
Solis Applied Science is seeking a Expert-level Exploitation Specialist Synthetic Aperture Radar Scientist professional with experience in applied image processing and advanced analysis of radar imagery; possesses in-depth knowledge of radar imaging physics, phenomenology, and phase history processing. Position is in the Northern Virginia area.
Responsibilities :
Imagery Scientist SAR specialists must demonstrate proficiency in imaging radar analysis techniques, employing advanced image and signal processing methods to support signature and methodology development. Possesses a deep understanding of sensor design principles and their impact on sensor performance within this field. Experienced in using NSG imagery ordering tools, electronic light tables, and related products. Familiar with the U.S. Intelligence Community, particularly in imagery collection, exploitation, and GEOINT's role in the intelligence mission.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Image Science, Remote Sensing, Earth Science, Physical Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related engineering or scientific discipline.
- Advanced expertise and proficiency in applied image processing and complex analysis of radar imagery.
- In-depth knowledge of imaging radar physics, phenomenology, and phase history processing.
- Proficient in imaging radar analysis techniques, using advanced image and signal processing methods and tools to support the development of new signatures and methodologies.
- Comprehensive understanding of sensor design principles and their impact on sensor performance within this field / phenomenology.
- Proven knowledge and experience in using NSG imagery ordering tools, electronic light tables, and related products.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels within the GEOINT Community.
- Proven familiarity with the U.S. Intelligence Community, particularly in imagery collection, exploitation, and GEOINT's role in the intelligence mission.
- Experience collaborating with multiple national and service intelligence agencies / centers.
- Knowledge of tasking overhead intelligence collection systems.
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel.
- Strong working knowledge of the Windows operating system.
